We are giving voice to a lot of issues that matter to HR practitioners. We have worked hard over the past years to advocate on the behalf of members to ensure that legislation works in favor of workers in general and our key stakeholders too
Join Hands & Support These Initiatives. Make the HR profession Better.
Through our work with members of the academia we support the improvement of educational curriculum taught at many higher institutions, especially at the University and Polytechnic levels. Our goal remains to improve the content, the method and practice of teaching Human Resources/Human Capital Management in our tertiary institutions.
We help our members exemplify the best of professionalism in the practice of HR, anchored on the SHRM Competency Model which identifies nine competencies —eight behavioral competencies and one technical competency, needed for success in any HR role, regardless of organization size or sector.
About SHRM Nigeria
Who We Are
The SHRM Nigeria Forum is the local body of members of the Society for Human Resource Management. SHRM Nigeria Forum membership is comprised of all levels of HR Practitioners, representing the complete spectrum of the types of Industries, Government agencies and parastatals we have in Nigeria today. SHRM Nigeria has as its primary purpose the provision of a local forum for our members.
SHRM Nigeria is a registered trustee with a board and management team, supported by committees staffed and powered by volunteers. As a fully licensed SHRM affiliate body, SHRM Nigeria has its own dues structures, bylaws and application processes. Membership in a SHRM local chapter is separate and apart from membership in SHRM. We encourage you to become a member of both
