Dele Aloko

Dele Aloko is a lawyer and Human Resources professional with over 3 decades working experience as a lawyer and an HR Professional in the petroleum industry.

An indigene of Mopa, in Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State, he attended the prestigious King’s College, Lagos, where he obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC) and proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, where he obtained a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree. He was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1985 and underwent his National Service (NYSC) in Oyo State.

After practicing as a lawyer for 8 years, ‘Dele joined the Shell Petroleum Development Company as a Human Resources Adviser and worked variously in Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt for 21 years, before joining South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO) in 2016, as General Manager, Corporate Services. He is currently the Lead Consultant & CEO at Cranfield Talent Consultants and also the Chairman of Cranfield Drycleaning limited (owners and operators of Paragon Drycleaners), based in Lagos.

Dele is a member of various professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a Fellow of the Mentoring and Career Development Instutute (MCDI)

Dele’s career has given him a wealth of knowledge and experience in many fields beyond his academic and professional background, including Business Strategy & Planning, Budgets and Financial Management, Contracts Management, Risk & Emergency Response Management, Health and Safety Management.

Dele is the Vice President of the SHRM Nigeria Member Forum (an affiliate of the US based Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has represented Nigeria at various international fora, including the ISO TC260 HR Management professional standards development project. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Oil Producers’ Trade Section (HR Sub-Committee) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

He is married and with children and enjoys travelling, reading and adventure.
